In addition to facilitating Series A funding for selected companies through accelerator events, InvestHorizon offers an individual programme customised to the investment-readiness needs and challenges of each company. The programme aims to support 500 European Deeptech entrepreneurs in raising EUR 500 million over two and a half years. Would you like to increase the investment and valuation amount of your Deeptech solution? Then, this is the right opportunity for you. The next deadline for applications is 30 July.

European Deeptech start-ups face different challenges when raising capital. Investors are typically unwilling to take on these projects, which are usually characterised by large expenses, high risk and long-term gestation periods. With the Accelerator Programme from InvestHorizon, the high-tech entrepreneurs selected can do much better and raise an ambitious Series A investment.

The accepted companies will have access to a variety of events within the next six months, such pitching forums - to present their ideas in front of investors and Academies where they can fine-tune their pitches with the help of experienced coaches. The programme also includes bootcamps that will provide support and expert input from fellow CEOs and investment specialised coaches, to develop and refine their investment readiness.

What are the application requirements for the InvestHorizon programme?

The companies must:

  • be based in an eligible country
  • focus on a deep-tech field
  • have raised a seed round of investment in the past three years of around EUR 200K (or grant funding of over EUR 500K)
  • be seeking a Series A investment round of at least EUR 2.5 million over the next two to three years
  • be committed (it must actively participate in the programme if selected)

The Deeptech entrepreneurs need to fill the application form with information about their business, their previous investment, provide a pitch deck and a letter of intent from a supporting investor or investment advisor.

On 7 July, InvestHorizon and the hosts IVACE and REDIT will organise an Introduction Webinar to the free InvestHorizon Accelerator. In this online event, attendees will have the chance to learn more about the benefits of the programme with a presentation about the application process, and the testimonial from the InvestHorizon Alumni start-up AROMICS. The biotechnology company founded in 2005 and located in the Barcelona Science Park is focused on the development of novel therapies and diagnostic products targeting human health diseases like cancer. The project received Phase 2 Grant from the European Innovation Council in 2018, and it’s one of the selected companies from the Accelerator Programme.
